The Viva Suite is gaining two new modules and expanding the capabilities of several other modules to better help create engagement and empowerment within an organization. The first new module is Viva Pulse that helps in asking and providing feedback between managers and their team. This will integrate into a more company-wide service based on Glint coming to Viva next year. The second new module is Viva Amplify. The Amplify service builds on the Viva Engage service by helping company leaders craft, deliver, and connect with employees. The Viva Goals module is enhancing the Teams and Azure DevOps integration while also connecting into Microsoft Planner and Project for automatic project updates. Viva Learning is gaining additional integration with LinkedIn Learning while also adding a new Answers feature to help connect employees to experts. The Viva Connections experience will streamline all Viva services and news including a daily briefing email. A new People experience is launching in Viva to help deliver these connections. Finally, the new Viva Sales module reached General Availability on October 3rd. Details, demos, and more information on these Viva announcements can be found here.
Why This Matters
- The Viva suite is rapidly expanding, bringing more tools and features together to drive a new employee experience. Expect more Viva tools to come, as well.
- Viva, as an employee experience platform, will be like Microsoft Office with the number of apps, features, and ways the tools come together.
- Customers that made an investment in the Viva suite license are covered for the new tools being released.
To get the very best experience with Viva, an organization needs to leverage Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Yammer, Dynamics 365 for Sales, Power BI, and Azure DevOps. Additional 3rd party tools also integrate. Organizations that want to embrace Viva may need to accelerate their foundations to support all of the experiences.
