Announcement #5 in What’s New From Microsoft in April 2021
Every month Microsoft announces hundreds of new features, capabilities, and services across the Microsoft cloud platforms – Azure, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft 365. We boil it down to what is most important and share them via our monthly newsletter. Here is #5 for April of 2021.
New Capabilities in Microsoft 365
Inclusion, work-from-home, and other new collaboration features were announced for Microsoft 365. For Teams, the new live transcription service has rolled out broadly and new polices are available to enable or disable transcription. New poll tools and meeting recap experiences are also rolling out. Excel now shows a change history and Word documents can be transformed into PowerPoint presentations in a few quick steps. Outlook on the web is being updated with interface changes that will later arrive in Outlook for Windows. The Remote Desktop app for macOS now supports the new Apple M1 devices. Finally, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint can now help discover and protect unmanaged, bring-your-own devices without deploying new hardware or software.
