Serverless Solutions Arrives in Costa Rica and Creates New Jobs

  • The U.S. company will invest in Costa Rica – hiring experienced technology resources as well as technology career graduates with no prior experience and thus supporting their professional development.

Serverless Solutions arrives on Costa Rican soil to provide professional services in implementing and managing cloud solutions, which support digital transformation for small and medium-sized companies in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Upon opening its first office in the América Free Zone (AFZ), located in Heredia, the company expects to hire more than 20 people in the next 12 months to assist in consulting processes to implement and manage technology projects and services.

The company, which has offices in Houston – Texas and Tulsa – Oklahoma, chose Costa Rica to boost its business growth in the United States. Serverless Solutions is investing an estimated $500,000 dollars to establish its Costa Rican operations.

“This decision presents us with an excellent opportunity to add highly qualified and multilingual professional resources to our team in order to better serve our current market and explore new possibilities. We are excited to work simultaneously, with no time difference impact, with Costa Rican talent,” explained Jon Sorensen, co-founder of Serverless Solutions.

In addition, Sorensen declared: “for Serverless Solutions, it’s essential that we be a capable and competitive technology solution and services provider. Costa Rica stands out for providing high-quality technology sector services and a culture of “pura vida” – an attitude of happiness and gratitude – making the country the best location to distinguish ourselves as a strategic ally in optimizing our clients’ cloud journey and experience.”

To date, Serverless Solutions has 11 team members in Costa Rica. The company expects to add new hires in senior and junior roles. The senior role opportunities target people with more than 5 years of experience developing technology solutions. The junior roles target people with less than 4 years of experience – including recent university graduates. Serverless Solutions’ work environment allows both junior and senior team members to gain experience in technology development and support services and rapidly grow their professional capabilities.

“Serverless Solutions’s arrival to our country clearly signals our attractiveness as a destination for high-tech companies from around the world. Today we are the cradle for 100 companies of this type, making us a digital epicenter in Latin America. We expect the new investment to foster innovation and development, as well as transfer of knowledge, while creating new, high-quality jobs for Costa Ricans,” said Foreign Trade Minister Manuel Tovar.
