Two powerful new capabilities are now available in Microsoft 365 Copilot: Researcher and Analyst. Built on advanced AI reasoning models, these features significantly elevate the problem-solving and analytical power available to users.

What’s New in Microsoft 365 Copilot

• Researcher
  Researcher combines reasoning and orchestration to tackle real-world business problems. It can access and integrate data from third-party apps and systems, making it a powerful agent for generating solutions and insights that previously required manual effort or multiple tools.
• Analyst
  Analyst turns every Copilot user into a data expert. Powered by the o3-mini model, it uses chain-of-thought reasoning and can execute Python code to address complex business queries. With Analyst, users can run advanced data analysis without needing a background in data science.

Both features are available starting April 2025.
