Unlimited Access to Copilot Voice and Think Deeper Now Available

Two years ago, Microsoft launched Copilot to help people access knowledge, find answers, reflect, brainstorm, and create. As Copilot evolves into the ultimate AI companion, Microsoft is now rolling out free, unlimited access to two of its most powerful features for all users: Voice and Think Deeper, powered by OpenAI’s o1 model.

These new capabilities allow users to engage in natural, extended conversations and leverage advanced reasoning to navigate more complex tasks—anytime, hands-free.

Talk It Out with Voice
With Voice, users can have fluid, real-time conversations with Copilot. This feature is designed for moments when typing isn’t ideal—whether on the go, cooking, or simply looking for a more natural interaction. A few examples of what Voice can do:

  • Practice a new language: Use Copilot to rehearse basic phrases ahead of travel or social situations.

  • Prepare for job interviews: Share your experience and the role you’re applying for, and let Copilot conduct a mock interview.

  • Get help while cooking: Ask for recipe instructions, step-by-step, without ever needing to touch a screen.

Tackle Bigger Questions with Think Deeper
Think Deeper uses OpenAI’s latest reasoning models to help analyze scenarios, weigh options, and make more thoughtful decisions. Here are a few ways users are applying it:

  • Compare electric vehicles based on personalized criteria like design, comfort, and future-proofing, using a custom scoring system.

  • Make home renovation decisions: Evaluate the return on investment of options like a new kitchen island, bathroom updates, or a roof replacement—all within a specific budget.

  • Assess emergency preparedness: For example, explore whether buying a generator is a smart investment for a storm-prone neighborhood, factoring in budget, convenience, and long-term value.

Expanded Access, Smarter Experiences
Microsoft has seen strong demand for these features and understands that many users have been hitting usage limits. With this expanded access, now is the ideal time to explore what Copilot can do.

While Microsoft is scaling unlimited access as quickly as possible, users may experience temporary delays during peak times or in cases involving security concerns, misuse, or violations of Copilot’s terms of use.

Copilot Pro users will continue to benefit from priority access to the latest models, early access to experimental features, and extended capabilities within Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
