Azure Trusted Launch for Virtual Machines Announced

Azure now helps prevent bootkit and rootkit infections with a new service called Azure Trusted Launch. Azure Trusted Launch is a security service that helps blockprevent, and and remove security attacks. This new service uses the virtual Trusted Platform Module (vTPM) to measure and attest the boot process helping protect the integrity of the virtual machine. This service actively prevents access to keys, certificates, and secrets until the attestation process has been completed. Further, Azure Security Center provides a single pane of glass to report on the status and resolve issues. This new service is available at no charge and can be enabled on supported virtual machines by selecting a single check box in the Azure Portal.
